Cornerstone desires to be a place where families can connect and raise children together. It most certainly takes a village.

It’s never too early to submit an application! Our new Puyallup campus is currently in the licensing process and anticipates opening in September 2026!

Our toddler programs include both the school day (9am to 3pm) and extended care, meaning that children can be on campus up to ten hours between 6:30AM and 5:30PM. The cost of these hours is included in the tuition. Our Puyallup campus will have shorter hours of 7:00AM to 5:00PM.

All toddler environments are equipped with a restroom. This is especially important for children who are practicing bathroom use. Toilet learning is a partnership between family and teacher. Our classrooms are prepared to support children as they demonstrate readiness to practice going to the bathroom - an important life skill!

Toddlers (12m - 30m)

Our toddler environments promote purposeful exploration in the curriculum areas of language, fine and gross motor movement, practical life skills (toilet training, dressing, putting on shoes), and sensorial experiences. Science, math, geography, and culture are also introduced in natural, everyday experiences. Art, music, and book reading are also included in the daily routine. In these critical years of what Montessori calls the “unconscious absorbent mind,” the educated adult guide prepares a rich and developmentally appropriate environment for children to freely explore and engage with, offering guidance as needed and stepping back when the child is concentrating. Children are so very capable and it’s exceptionally beautiful to see each of them develop friendships and work towards goals that build confidence and compassion.

“This is education, understood as a help to life.”
— Maria Montessori
